Treating worms

While threadworm infections are really itchy and irritating, treating them is simple. The aim of treatment is to get rid of the threadworms and prevent re-infection.

Just one dose of Vermox tablets can effectively kill adult threadworms. To ensure the worm infection cycle is broken completely, it is essential that all members of your household are treated, including adults, even if they don’t have any symptoms.

As worming treatments only kill adult worms (not their eggs), it is advisable to check for worms again around 3 weeks after the first dose, to see if another dose is needed.

If you, or another member of the household is pregnant, or if you have children under 2 years, ask your doctor for advice.
